The latest addition to the garage. My son's Daytona 675.

Never ridden one before, it's only a 675! how hard could it go? I asked!

Well F&*% me!! this thing is a rocket!!

From what I remember, it's every bit as fast as my old Kwaka Z1000, at least till 3rd gear. And it handles and it stops. Not that anyone cares but I was impressed!!

I had one from 2007 to 2009 and not a day goes by I regret getting rid of it. Unfortunately, it is quite hard in Finland to deal with the expenses of having two bikes at the time. The bike is so light and agile it is very easy to lost the track of speed while entering corners. OEM tires are very (at least 2007 OEM tires were) bad for commuting. Those were developed for semi track day use and took a quite a while before they reached the operating temp. Before that it was like driving on ice.

A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station...

And one of the best handling bikes ever, it was the first bike to achieve 10/10 in a Japanese motorbike mag.

Too bad they stopped making the 955. I wanted to get a sport bike, but I can't fit on those smaller ones.

The look when I twist the throttle.
I get when I roll up to a light.
When they debate to race.
When they see the back of my Triumph shirt, after I leave that red light.

Bump

Colin Chapman once said: "If you add horsepower you'll be quick on the straight,...but if you remove weight you'll be quicker everywhere.." ....so why in hell did I buy a Thunderbird...!!!

Did I see somewhere there bringing out a 660cc version for Aussie learners?

Imagine some 60kg kid riding it, struth.

Yeah Fab!! it's the biggest fuckin' scooter I've ever seen!!

Mate, it's a good bike, It's not everyone's cup of tea!! And as it turns out, not mine either!! (Didn't take long ay!)

I actually love the look and riding it around the "burbs". It is really good to ride in traffic, but I've done 3 seperate trips to Bright, Myrtleford and Winton, all 7 hour trips there and back, and after an hour or so I'm struggling big time. I just cannot get comfortable.

I've spoken to other Indian owners and they look at me like I have two heads (Shut-Up) They all say it's the most comfy bike they've ridden.

I guess I'm just odd shaped!!

If I could afford two bikes, I would certainly keep her, but sadly, no.

Eddie

I still love you Eddie!!

You have to be comfortable with your ride - no point struggling with it just to keep up appearances.

You tried it and it's not for you - at least you had a go!

Cheers
