G'day Terota66, I wanted something light and reasonably quick to swap over, when I change from a single saddle to a long haul duel seat, It bolts straight on in 15 min, and does not interfere with my saddle bags , the passenger is comfortable and snug, the rack looks smart once on the bike,

Hey Bussa,
Having problems finding a pic showing that exact sissy bar/rack and longhaul combo.
If possible, could you load a pic of that set up when you can.
Thanks mate.

G'day Dags,
I could not find a combo/ long haul pic either, gave the suppliers, all my measurements and got an, enter at your own risk type of response. took a punt and it payed off,

The bottom underside of the sissy bar cushion sits on the end of the long haul seat and reduces the pillion seating space a little.
I unpicked the staples (that are concealed by an outer dress cover) and cut the foam thickness in half, then re stapled it. It looks good and the passenger, suffers zero discomfort.

The black grain effect on the vinyl is slightly different to the texture of the seat, (but acceptable).

I will swap my seats and take some progressive photos of the seat then saddle bags then sissy bar etc. etc and post them up, just need a day or so,

Dags, hope these photos are useful, I bought longer bolts to allow for my saddle bag docks, and gently opened the chrome mounting posts 2 mm each to allow for more clearance when putting it on, Pack spacers and standard bolt lengths are supplied.

love the sissy bars, my problem is I want the arched one Link with the Link , problem is there is no listing for brackets (black) or chrome for the 1700 Storm, are all Triumph sissy bar brackets the same size size width etc. that the listing for the 1600 T-Bird will fit the 1700 Storm?

Here's mine with same back rest but with hardstreet slims with stock pillion seat.
I now have longhaul seat on, fits tight may have back rest pad re-upolstered so it's slightly shorter and matches seat grain better.
Mounting new Tsukayu bags then I'll re-fit back rest and take photos.
Cheers
John

I have had the kuryakyn transformer for a few years now. The chrome is crap but the backrest and integrated rack is useful.

For more pics go to page 14 of my album.

sweet bars man, this is the type of look I want, I found a few powder coaters within a reasonably distance, so if I need them in black I can always do that. I like the higher bars .... are they quick release?

can you direct me to your album?

Link

This link might do it. Just go to page 14.

Yes it is quick release. Although I made the brackets myself. The whole thing detaches in less than half a min. They are made from 6mm thick stainless plate. I turned the mounting bobbins to match and have now got some that accommodate the easy brackets too.
