I looked at these a little while back to replace my twins on the bird, seemed like a
good idea . We are using led lights on many of the mine vehicles and they are excellent
But I couldn't justify the $850 for the pair , the ones I was looking at we're chrome HD for a sportster.

jw doesnt have is listed direct but everyone selling em has em listed for 380-400 usd from all i found the 2 kit for the roadglide is a lil cheaper than buying both outright, the harley ones are bigger than the stock light diffuser on the back so i dont know how it will fit in the storm housings

I went on the JW web site and found the generic version of the Daymaker, if anyone can find an outlet for this model, let me know, I'd try it on my Thunderbird

I actually emailed J.W. to find a dealer close by, but the closest to me is Quebec, which is a few provinces over...........we have a Harley dealership close by which I think I'm gonna buy one to see if I can make it work with the bird, (price of Daymaker to J.W. is very close) so if it don't fit and find the right harness at least I won't go through the long process of shipping it back to Quebec etc etc ....
I figure I'm gonna try it along with my installer who does my stereos and whatnot .........but I will keep you informed on any mods or if it don't work all together

I'm not looking for OMG !!!! I'm looking for more light for safety reasons, I live in an area where on my trip to town I see an average of 2 deer, I've hit 2 deer before with my truck and don't want to experience it on my T-bird.....we tried installing HID's but had no place to put the ballast, so I don't like driving lights and this is my "last" option ......LED gives off WAY more light then your average headlight and its my alternative to HID's ........I guess bike mags don't consider different strokes for different folks

BTW both deer were hit during the winter on snow covered roads

Why not a set of AUX lights? Something that lights up the sides of the road in addition to whatever you do the main beam?

I have the same issue every Tues in summer returning from work. 30 miles thru unlighted backcountry roads thru deer territory.
Additional front lights has shown to be a workable solution for me.

Sometime soon I'm sure somebody will have on installed on their bike and we'll have a firsthand report.

I think adding AUX will throw off the look of the Storm, I am gonna try installing a set in the next month or so........... i'll keep you informed once I take off one light and compare it to the Daymaker at my local Harley dealership to see if the first step (sizing) won't be the first issue

I love my Motolights. They can make them attach anywhere but most of them are mounted on the front brake caliper and light up the road beautifully. They come in black, chrome, brushed satin and mounted there don't bother uncoming drivers. Even the bulbs have a lifetime warrany.

Around here you can't find a police bike without them.

I priced them at my local Harley dealership ($470) each and a no return policy, and they're on backorder for 6 weeks.so I guess I'm gonna try J.W. and see how things go there ........

plus the other problem is the HD logo in the middle of the light

The ones I got are by J W Speaker, as a small Speaker logo on left side and is hardly noticeable........I didn't order the brackets at first, now I figure I need them and waiting for courier to drop them off hopefully today to see what other problems arise installing this light......but in the meantime I'm going to the Harley dealership to see how much the light buckets are which hold this exact light that are made for Harley ............. tell me how you make out installing this, there is a few on here waiting to see how this works on the T-bird

Hey guys, I am new to this forum, but wanted to thank you all for this post. Due to pure stupidity on my part, I cracked the OEM headlight glass while washing my 2013 T-Bird 1600. I didn't want to spend the $230 USD Triumph wanted for another sub-par Hella lamp and was looking for better lighting options. Thanks to this post, I got brave and bought an H-D Daymaker and couldn't be happier! It was super easy to mod/install! Literally one little bracket in the rim of the lamp housing needs to be bent (with your fingers). Then the lamp settles in and you can use the original wire clips just as metalb00 suggested. The new Daymakers even have the parking light which was cool. The only H-D markings I can see are a tiny bar and shield logo over the parking light bulb. It is barely noticeable. Anyway, thanks again for the info. I am very happy with my new lamp!

BTW, the driving lights are fork mounted Kuryakyn LEDs. They are a nice addition as well and their color/temp matches well with the Daymaker.
