So Todd, what you're sayin is the Trophy is just like the Bimmer and the newer Wings, correct?? From an engineering point of view,I'm not really thrilled about the single swing arm configuration, but willing to take a chance on it because I don't pull a trailer.Other then the trailer thing,I haven't really heard any negatives about the single swing arm configuration. But what has really drawn me to it is,it's got a SHAFT DRIVE and NOT a belt.Believe me,I AM DONE WITH BELTS!!! Enough is ENOUGH!!! Dave!!!

Dave,

I have not ridden a Bimmer, but based on the comments from others I would say the Trophy is as good or better than the BMW. Likely it would fall between the 1200 RT and the new 1600.

I have spent a lot of time on a Yamaha FJR (son owns one) and on a Kawi Concours. Both are really nice bike, but for me the Trophy is more comfortable.

The Wing to me is a totally different animal. It is not a cruiser, not a sport tourer, just a big huge comfy bike. Like the Rocket, its in its own league. If my wife wanted to retire a tour the country on a motorcycle, I'd likely consider a wing.

My only beef about the Trophy is that I would like highway pegs. This is why I want Mat to get one cause I know he would design a fabricate something.

You should test ride one, but if you have been a cruiser guy your whole life, you might find it too different and as Mat alluded to, lacking sole. Its a different animal.

Todd, I had a look to see if it is possible to do something with extra pegs. Not a lot to go at as it is all covered in. I did have a look on the internet and came across RG who make some crash bars to fit. Maybe you could do something with those and a bit of bracketry.

Hey Mat,

I'm aware of the crash bars and some of the guys have them and have mounted pegs to them, but I really don't want crash bars on a sport-touring bike.

Thanks for looking I into it tho

Hi Dave,

I have a 32 inch inseam. I have the taller seat AND I modified it to be an inch higher and I am fine so with the stock seat and 30 inch inseam you will be fine.
