Since we have a new category it's shame not to use it so here is a picture of my 2000 955i Speedtriple.

Thanks, I have had it from new and it's a great bike to ride solo. I used to have one of these, my first Hinckley Triumph.

I know that a lot of these got cannibalised for brakes, wheels and suspension components for other bikes so there is a lot less than 187 around now.

This is the only speed triple model I ever really liked ... a lot!

I have tried the 1050 a couple of times but I still prefer this one and I think this model is the best looking of the injected speeding trifles.

Enough to make you cry.
Just bought engine from one that had been crashed, insurance write off. Another one less but at least I have future spares or another project bike.
The older 1st generation Hinkley engine has character.

They certainly did and were all hand built, now a machine does half of it.

I sold these boys for my present Explorer:

They'd all had a deep clean, before these sell 'em pics. They were all snapped up within days. The Speedy was something of a "devil bike", as someone else has said. A bit of a "Christine" - a joy to ride but always getting into scrapes and trying to hurt people. Hope the new owner (in York) is ok.

Only problem for me with those speed triples is the bars. Those bike cry out for ape hangers !!!

Seriously....I've always hated sportbikes and the like, naked or not. Those exo skeletons....could never stand that look. Too modern and ugly to my eye. But i do confess to feeling like i could see myself with a ST as a second bike. Like a little swiss army knife that few other vehicles on the street could keep up with on the straights or twisties. But i can't have a second bike so there goes that idea. Something about them tho....

The Speed triple is in dire need of an upgrade, the street triple triple will show it up on anything other than a long straight.

Stick the daytona engine in the street triple and it will beat the speed triple anywhere

I won't believe it until it has been officially denied.
