At 83kg I seem to be getting bounced around a lot and wondered if I might get any joy from doing this. Is *1 hard or soft. I keep thinking its just our roads over here which are shit to say the least ,more the sort of terrain frequented by moto x bikes. Is there anything in them to gain ?

But then again I only have about 275 miles on the bike so still figuring it out. In some of the reviews they mentioned that if you weighed under 200 lbs the shocks even at the 1 setting was too stiff. Basically the preload lowest setting is too stiff for a guy say weighing 150 lbs. I'll let you do the conversions....:-)

my spanner worked fine, no probs at all!
its a pig 1 up on 3 but great 2 up
its good on 1, 1 up, but too bouncy on 3, 1 up
so i have to adjust according to the loading.
however on some of the "country lanes" the rebound is shocking, on one road between kirkwelpington and bellingham we took off, whole friggin bike, was a real bird lol
also 2 up, 3 gives a tad more clearance on cornering. havnt tried 5 yet

Lost 8mm (5/16") in ride height I weigh approx 13 stone (180lbs) and have them set on the second line from the top. I now have over 6300 kms up and have had the bike in all sorts of conditions, a lot of my riding is on poor country roads and the ride /handling is even better than my speedy was, the back end is brilliant it just needs better front springs (waiting on progressive to market)
Just for comparison, i refitted the stock shocks, ouch, didn,t take long to confirm the above so they now reside in the parts box hehehe.
Hope this helps guys make balanced decisions on what shocks to get, i can only speak for the progressives but if theres something out there thats better it must be awesome, cheers all, Tadpole
PS Keets, My bike has the speedo problem too, hasn,t done it since the weather has cooled down, cheers mate
