... heated grip. Read on.

After finishing the install of a new Pirelli Night Dragon rear tire (looks good!), everything was back in place and I had the bike up on the jack just running it... in gear (jack was under bike from throttle side).

I finished, gripped the throttle, and slowly lowered the bike on the jack.

Are you still with me, here?

Oops... kickstand wasn't down.

The grip came off as I was trying to keep it the bike from going down to the left. Broke the clutch lever, bent the shift lever and the scuffed the (used to be) pretty left fiberglass saddlebag pretty darn good.

How's that for an afternoon of fun? I should have taken a nap instead.

Used the old butt lift to get it up from the horizontal position... still have it in me (surprised the crap out of me, too)!

Don't you just hate it when you do stupid stuff?

I feel for you man. I tipped mine over a few months ago backing it down the ramp from my trailer. broken grip, bent clutch handle, bent shifter and badly scratched left front fork. I was sick! It all got fixed and my insurance covered most of it. 750 lbs is hard to stop when starts to go over.

Know the feeling, almost. On my road trip to Arizona with my son in January, I came to a sudden stop on sand and gravel
and then what occurred was that my foot started to slowly slip and slide on that damn surface. So the movement was very
slow but obviously I was going to hit the ground at some point. Then when it went to the point where I had
no more muscle the situation froze To my savior came the foot peg that neatly took the load off me and
I could just carefully get off the bike and push it up
