I stumbled onto this parts catalog for the bird online. I've not seen one of these available online before so I thought I'd point it out. I've looked over the same thing at the dealer to help find different odds and ends but it's nice having it available all the time.

I saw that a couple weeks ago, but i already knew about it because i used it for my speedmaster. So I had been checking it regularly since i got the bike waiting for the Tbird section to show up. It finally did a few weeks back. My only concern is how long they would take compared to a dealer. They certainly don't stock any of it, but then the dealers stock very little anyways. But i wonder whether they would be slower. They can't be considered a triumph dealer so i'm not even sure how they get the parts. Don't vehicle brands basically sell only to thier official dealers?

Yeah, not sure how that works... .

I was mainly interested in it so that I could do my own parts lookup so that I can then communicate with my dealer halfway intelligently. Trying to describe the coolant leak and where it was coming from was a pain. If I had this it would of been easier. Also, since I was looking at tank badges from some of the other models I can use this to get the actual part numbers that I need and just get them to order it. I still have my parts discount and no shipping so I'd still get things through my dealer.

yeah, it's great for that. I used to use it for my speedy for many things. In fact, at the time i had dialup so i downloaded every file and all the parts text and saved them all on my HD ! Plus you never know when a site will go down or out of business etc, so i may have to do that for this bike too. If i do i'll make it available to you all via a zip download. I had put them all in thier own folders each with an html file and the pics so you could just open them up like the page on bikebandit.

all don't waste your time with Bike Bandit, I have dealt with them before. Ordered parts for my 1999 ST muffler mount, all were on backorder meaning exactly what was observed earlier they have to order from Triumph too. I ordered 3 parts they finally sent to and said they had no idea when the other piece would be available. I picked it up at my local Triumph dealer. I wanted a Triumph Raptor Mesh Jacket, saw it at Bike Bandit for the lowest price and giving an AMA discount. I ordered it and it took them a week to say it was on backorder and they had no idea when they would be available. There may be a few easy to order parts available but I have not been happy with their communication, customer service and optional solutions.

heres a thing

was in the dealers today and decided to price up a tool. the dealer had the same graphic on his screen as bike bandit but the part that i thought was the tool that can check my belt tension was called an engine lifter! because the dealers graphic was rediculously small i began to doubt my sight and the dealer was unable to help - typical.
anyway came home and checked out bike bandit site and great the graphic can be enlarged making it very clear to tell its the right tool BUT no 27 is not on the list!!!

freaking wierd - images from bike bandit site
