For those of you with floorboards how do you like them? I find i am sitting straighter which I don't like but I guess I need to get used to.

You will find A LOT of info regarding floorboards if you do a search here.
Short (for me) : there is no substitute !
Why ? Because your legs have a more normal position (no feet forward)

Love mine, but then I just came from 3 yrs riding a Vulcan Cruiser with boards. Very happy with the heel/toe shifter and the larger brake pedal.

I love the floorboards, seems like more clearance ie no more scraping heels on corners,
and a far more comfortable riding position,
Also when my T'bird fell over while cleaning on a slope
it only got as far as the footboards so no damage done

That was lucky - or not - depends how you look at it. Was there much damage to the boards ?
