I never thought I'd sell my first Les Paul, but I want to fund another investment and she is just not getting played (I spend much more time playing my '54 Oxblood LP CAH).

What you are seeing here is an immaculately-clean, never-gigged, original owner (me!), stored-in-case 2001 Custom Art & Historic (Gibson Custom Shop) '58 Les Paul (Custom Shop aging done to the tailpiece, bridge, and Grover tuners). I've had this beauty since new and it's never been gigged, still has ALL original case candy and the COA (Certificate of Authenticity).

They only made a thousand of the '58 CAH "Aged" with the Grovers in 2001 (this one is #518) and finding them available at ANY PRICE is extremely difficult. I'm confident that when I list it on eBay, it'll probably go for about $5,500.00+. I'm listing it here for $4,500.00 (plus UPS 2nd day Air, insured for $6000... shipping won't be cheap, but I won't ship it any other way).

As far as the sound and playability: FUCKING WOW! This is one hot-rod LP... she's not just a looker, she's a fucking rock star! The Gibson Custom Shop gets first pick of all materials for their runs and for Custom Art & Historic models, they dig into their records for specs of the originals and re-create the electronics to the same specs or better as the year the original was built.

You can confirm the serial number with the link below...

Gibson Serial Number Search

And, if you are the researching type, feel free to email the Gibson Custom Shop boys... they'll respond with more info on this guitar than you can handle. They love to "open the fire hose" on anyone asking questions.

I'm waiting for the battery in my good camera to charge to take more high-res photos, but in the meantime, here's a few iPhone photos...

I realize that this is a very expensive piece, but it's a serious instrument for a serious collector or serious player. Feel free to PM me and I'll reply with my phone number... I'm more than happy to talk to you at length and answer any questions you may have.

But... keep in mind: the price is not negotiable!
