I'm not interested in a trade for my floorboards just yet, but would be interested in purchasing the pegs and pedal if somebody has them lying around taking up space. Send me a PM.
Thanks.

I'll look tomorrow and see if I've still got the stock units. I won't be able to help you with the brake or shift lever but I should have the pegs. I'll let you have them for the shipping.

Ron, I am 6' 1" with a 34" inseam. While its true that the floor boards allow me to move my feet around a bit, not being able to drop my heel keeps my knees uncomfortably high. the angle of the floorboards is not adjustable. I figured that a pair of highway pegs on my dresser bar would offer a good compromise, but it really doesn't. Also, my riding boots are quite thick so I can't adjust the shifter to comfortably get my toe under it. I always have to use the heel shifter to up shift and the toe shifter to downshift. I thought I would get used to it over time, but it still doesn't feel natural to me.
I would like to try the pegs and see how that works. I may even try to fabricate some kind of forward mount for the pegs if I still feel cramped. I am not aware of any aftermarket forwards available for the T-Bird yet, and I don't want anything that will interfere with my dresser bar.

| Mick . . . Keep the rubber side down!!

You should maybe consider the Kuryaken Switch Blades from Eddy, He uses them and talked me into them, I find them very flexible as you can have pegs one minute then flick the footrest out and they virtually become a floorboard.
The offer both worlds, I have also after numerous hours of fiddling and manufacturing special mount brackets ( getting them in the right position so that your boots don't foul the Shift or Brake Lever ) fitted a set of highway pegs onto bars but have only ever used them once, they are still there for the "Maybe one day" on a long ride but otherwise they are just decoration.

I actually looked at those for my vs1400. Having a second place to put your feet is a good thing. My highway peg experience is the same as yours, spent a lot of time tweeking them and now they're hanging on the garage wall until my next multi-day excursion.
