I remember seeing a post on here before about how to install the clutch cover accessory. I have searched and can't find it anywhere. Has anyone installed one of these before? Any advice? If I remember correctly it is just a faux cover on the side of the main clutch cover and is as easy as removing bolts and installing new one. Is that correct?

Hi There,

I have just fitted the Thunderbird clutch cover and it was easy. Makes a huge difference to the look. It is a faux cover so there is no worry about any oil leaking out. Just undo the bolts and once you have removed the old cover you will need to rescue the rubber grommets and metal guide spacer in each bolt hole for re-use in the new bird one. I found you had to push the metal guide out with a screwdriver and prise the grommet out with your fingers. Then I just used some WD40 for lubrication to aid inserting the grommet and guide into the new cover. Bolt on and hey presto new cover with that beautiful Bird Logo.

Have fun
