Guys, I'm replacing the forward controls on by TBird 1600 (blue and white) with footboards. Gear lever side looks fine, but the instructions tell me to drain and undo the rear brake cylinder. Is there a crafty way to do the job without draining the hydraulics?

Thanks,

- Pasta

Yes you can. You have to be careful with the brake line as not to crease it while you are slightly bending it to get to the mounting hardware. You will have to get some hex sockets tho.

It can be done but you need an extra pair of hands (and patience!)

Well it can be done -and has been- but I recommend that you just drain the rear brakes and follow the instructions. Less hassle all round.
