Hi All.

I have a stock/standard T-Bird Storm. I'm not really impressed with the OEM mirrors on her, there too short. Basically I can see more of my forearms and shoulders than what's behind me.

Does anyone know any qood quality mirror extenders?? I'm in Australia and have seen some on e-bay etc.

Thanks Al'

Hi Al, we've all been complaining about the crappy stock mirror position for ages here and continue to search for a suitable alternative. God only knows what deformed midget Triumph based the stock mirrors on.
Slightly higher (maybe 2 inches) and slightly wider (again about 2 inches) is what I could do with.

That may have been me. I don't really have a problem with them - unless that has something to do with my fit slender physique. Perhaps dieting is an answer.

....and there, my friend, is the answer to your need for mirror extensions.

Hope the pie eating goes well and good luck with the extensions. (perhaps adjustable ones for future pie related problems)

Well I have a problem with the mirrors and apparently I am a stick thin lanky streak of piss, so a diet is not an option
But I could still do with a bit more length

Ummmmm.... Weren't we talking about mirror extensions??

The fact we ride large engined Triumphs seems to negate the discussion about compensating for something hehehehehehehehe...
(I had to get that in )

In my playing with mirrors, I found that if you move the stems more forward then adjust your mirror heads it will give you some extra outboard viewing.

these stock mirrors work fine for me. And once we figure out the scam on the safety spring collar in there, I'm satisfied. I've heard that the other shapes that have been tried, really vibrate.

And no one would say I have slender physique. I swing a lot of kettlebell to stay strong in my failing health, infirm years.

Good thing too. At Yosemite yesterday, I was trying to park the satisfaction of the Ahwanee Hotel valets. Just as I was trying to push back again for a better curb angle, front wheel went is a little pavement hole and I almost lost it to the right, my weaker side. Got to the very bottom of my current kettlebell strength but managed to hold it up with a deep grunt. Intense!

Here is another alternative idea that I got from Fast Eddy. I took the stems and yamaha mirrors off of my 03 Speedmaster. As you can see from the pictures the Speedmaster stim/ mirror on the left in the first mirror and the right in the 2nd is higher and sits farther out so now the view is above and to the side of my shoulders. I like the looks of the t-bird mirrors better but this swap might work for you guys having trouble seeing out of the stock mirrors.

It is a straight swap with no mod required

Arrrrr.... what i meant to say is that the speedmaster stem / mirror is on the left in the 1st picture and on the right in the 2nd picture
