Seems like it could be a bit hit and miss to me. Must work though or they would,t sell I guess.

Check out the "Healtech/Gipro Gearshift Indicator" thread in the "How to step by step section"

This one definetly works and many members have fitted it

had my gipro one for over one year, works very well
just make sure you have a long straight road to set it up or have the rear wheel off the ground and run it that way.

Definetly looks cool but $190 more than the one I was wondering about. I think I might buy one of the $49 ones to try on my wife's Ninja first.
