Hello

Has any one upgraded their headlamps to a larger one. The current single Bird headlight diameter is about 6 1/4".
Does anyone know the Speedmaster or Rocket 3 Tourer headlight diameters?

I was considering going with a aftermarket type, I have found them as big as 7" in diameter. The only thing is they mount with one bolt vs 2 like Bird stock mount. See below.

Has anyone gone this route?

Thanks
John

I have the speedy light. Looks miles better. Have a brouse through my pic album......or Seans's.

It looks much better!

Would you happen to know what year Speedy light it is, the diameter accross the housing?

Was it difficult to connect, plug and play or did you splice it in?

Thanks
John

for the last 12 months or so the speedy has come with the bird headlight, so be careful when ordering. you want an earlier version.

8'' diam and sits a bit further back. Looks miles better. Easy to fit. If you order 2010 or before it will be the right one.

The current america light is a direct bolt on but will sit higher and further back, the current speedmaster uses the same shell but the fixing is upside down so it will also sit higher and further back, previous speedmasters used a different fitting so you might have to change the bottom bracket if you go that route.

Mick . . . Keep the rubber side down!!

This is the 2010 Speedy parts diagram from bike bandit

Looks like I need to order assemblies 8 and 1, it appears to come with a new mount on bottom (#9).

The strange thing is item #1 shows 3 options?!! Total looks about $347.07 USD if I go Triumph OEM parts.

I may quote from local dealer as well as another online dealer, suggestions on a good one.

1: HEADLIGHT AND RIM ASSY,RH
"DE, SE, BR, IT, ES, PT, GR, FR, CH, NL" 1396954 $211.41

1: HEADLIGHT AND RIM ASSY,SYM
"US, TW, CA & AR" 1396955 $211.41

1: HEADLIGHT AND RIM ASST,LH
"JP, NZ, CY, ZA, MY, HK, UK, AU, SG" 1396953 $222.54

8: HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, BOWL 1531404 $124.53
