| | Posted : 25 Apr 2012 - 14:26 Post title : Replacing wide bars with T-bars | | | Hi Guys,
Just picked a 'Bird 2nd hand and it has the wide bars - I am loking to swap these for the Twin T-Bars.
My question is... Will this be ok with the extended cables?
Thanks in advance,
John

Had them on my 'Bird for a short time and found they were about the same reach as stock but a little lower. Given the rigidity of the front brake lines and cables, I suspect you may have to go back to original stock lines.
Longer brake lines, clutch and throttle cables (A9638069 and A9638072) are included with the A9638026 beach bars (electrical wires include a little extra slack at main harness connections).
Go to Triumph Instructions Link and search for A9638026 to see what somebody went thru to install those Beach Bars.T-Bars = A9638044.

Waiting on deliveries, so will let you know

Will order up some 36" Drags as well.
Eddy has shipped my risers (Thanks Eddy ) so should hopefully have an update this weekend.

It's a more natural motion to press down on the bar ends to initiate the turn because they are lower. Makes the bike somewhat flickable.

I have a 2010 Honda Phantom that I would like to try this on too! It has been bobbed on the frame and springer seat put on.
It is lean mean and low but alas I also cant fold up like a jackknife like when I was younger! LOL! So I stay with the OEM bars on both bikes.
My Storm would look so good with the T-bar's.

I like the sound of flickable. Lots of curves for me going to and from work and I'm still shite at cornering.
