Hi all,

Didn't know where to put this post, but as it relates to Iron Rider bags, etc. from Dowco Ind., here's where're I dumped it!

Late in 2010 I purchased an Iron Rider "Large Roll Bag" from fasteddy. The bag is great; big enough to do an overnighter, but yet, not so big that it looks too out of place on the back "Toaster Rack' on the back of my bike.

About a month ago whilst tightening down the "Connector Straps" from the bag to the rack, one of the plastic clip thingies broke. So I thought: "Gees these thingies are crap; they're breaking pretty easy"! But I must admit I probably was tightening them down pretty hard.

Anyway, a couple of weeks after, I emailed Dowco via their website "Contact Us" page and asked about replacement "Connector Straps". I even stated that I would be happy to buy them if neccessary, moreover all I was after was whether they (Dowco) could provide/sell them to me, or should I contact my supplier (fasteddy).

I then tried contacting eddy, but none of us realised the issues eddy was having til later. I had since emailed eddy to tell him that my issue wasn't worthy of his time at the moment; my straps could wait!!

And then today, I went to the Post Office and there was a little parcel from Dowco, containg a complete set of "Connector Straps". I was rapt.

Some of you might think this is all a bit of waffle, or that I was probably entitled to the replacement anyway, but I am just genuinely impressed that Dowco have have done this and I wanted to share my little experience.

So, Thank You once again eddy for providing good quality gear for us at very reasonable prices and a great big Thank You to Dowco for unquestioningly backing their equipment. I just don't see that happen too much any more!

Cheers guys,

Jimbo

Hi Jim,

Great to hear a good news story - all too often all we get is stories of problems.

+2 on Dowco-they replaced a Guardian Cover for me last summer as it started to rip and fade real bad after 6 months. I sent in the tag and a swath of fabric and a few days later a new cover.

They are solid and worthy of our business.

Damn if this type of service is the exception not the rule.
