| Posted : 23 Nov 2011 - 17:12 Post title : Any Thunderbird/Storm owners near Springville, TN-measure for Pitbull Lift adaptor | | I found a company that would like to look into building a lifting adaptor for our bike. Jacking on the engine with block of wood works but it offends my sensibilities.
Pitbull makes a great lift and adaptors for Goldwings so they should be able to figure it out for Thunderbirds.
If anyone is in the area perhaps you might be able to drop over the shop.
If I had the time : Roadtrip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not much chance of me getting any time off soon.

EDIT TO ADD: They think they could make an adaptor to work on their jack for like $59 bucks vs $200+ for the factory one.

EDIT: OOPS! Wrong Pit Bull! I thought you were talking about these guys...

The best one on the market would perhaps be the one from Abba, see encl copy of posting by Taylostu: Hi Have used an Abba stand that connects to swingarm as this can def take weight of any motorbike by design
Here's the link Link And with my bike Link You have to remove the chrome coolant cover on right to access the bolt
I forget the bolt sizes I asked for - but did tell Abba so they should know the bike when ordering. Just use standard socket set to test bolt sizes ( theyre not quite the same left and right) if unsure.
But easy to lift and secure when up
Good luck

I talked with them a couple of years ago at street vibrations rally and the Tbird was too new at that time to consider one.

Dave!!!
