OK-I really did a search to see if this has come up but did not find an answer.

Has anyone installed a higher wattage bulb than the supplied 35watt-

I wasn't sure if the plastic parts would melt with higher watts and checking to see if anyone had done this?

I have not done it, but I can't imagine the higher light power would cause melting. I'd go for it, test and see.

(Makes loud chicken clucking noise) I'm chicken and wanted to let someone else melt the lights first!!!!
The auxiliary lights throw decent light as is but more is better. 35 watt replacements were hard to find locally but on Amazon for $3.00 each vs much more at the local auto parts stores. I went to 4 or 5 stores and only one had 1 35 watt bulb, everyone has the 55 watt.
