Well picked up the bird on Thursday and rode around town. Easy to maneuver. Rode it about 65 miles on Saturday on the freeway in some high winds. Winds didn't bother it much but wow stiff rear shocks on this birdie. Having fun so far. Taking off on Wednesday with my husband to Monterey, California on the bikes. Adventures here we come!! Oh btw I got a 2010 shiny black with the Special Edition 1700 already in it with a windshield and saddlebags already on it. Hell of a deal I couldn't pass up!! I'll post pics at some point.

Thank you!! I've been a Triumph owner since 2006. Traded in an 06 America for the bird. Happy riding!

If you don't already know Highway 1 is closed about half way between San Luis Obispo and Monterey due to a massive rockslide. It will be closed for several months

I got caught out last week on a trip with a buddy. We had to use 101 which is not nearly as scenic

Welcome to the forum

Good show, yes it handles great with or without wind. At least my wife gets on the back, some have to go solo to Starbucks. And Monterey is great bike country, we lived there before, and always go to the wharf for the fried squid, the best.

Great to see another new female rider especially on a Triumph. You'll love the T'Bird.

Lady T and welcome to the club.

Nice to see you have the confidence to move up from the America. I stepped up from the Speedmaster - and I'm soooo happy I did. No more oiling chain, ABS, more power for those quick over-takings, handles MUCH better, etc... we all know - so I wont state the obvious.

Have fun on your adventure and rise safely.
