LOL I've never owned a bike that gets so much attention! EVERYTIME I ride her & get off for even a minute or two people comment how nice it is & a conversation starts. One guy even said: I THOUGHT TRIUMPH WAS OUT OF BUSINESS?
People love the Thunderbird & love it even more in Blue/White & with a cowl. She's gassed up & ready to take me & The GF up to bear Mtn NY sunday so nighty night.

When I pull up to a place with lots of Harleys, before they can say anything I say, "Is Harely still in business? I thought they closed up long ago." Beat em to the punch. They don't know how to respond.

"Maybe a Honda?"

"They still make those?"

"British bike?"

I avoid places with lots of Harleys... I don't wanna get motor oil on my tires.

Where are your road pirate clothes, Birdy?

Narsisco: I get the "is your bike running, I cant hear it" crap. I look at them and say you will hear it fine because you will always stay behind me... That really makes them mad

ya know... I really don't have too much interaction with Harley riders. While they are all sitting in bars, sipping their beers and talking about this or that high-priced accessory or bragging about their new "ported and flowed heads" (with their bikes all gleaming and lined up out front making the place look like a used motorcycle shop!)... I'm actually out riding.

This weekend I had my Triumph shirt on, a guy saw it and asked if I rode a Triumph, proudly I said yes I do, he then asked if I ride one of the new ones or a real one, he was joking and I knew what he was referring too, as we got to talking about the bird and all of it's attributes, he said he used to have a 50's T-Bird, I thought that was cool.

Don't worry - I wasn't on it long enough for people to start looking/thinking!

Actually after the 1 minute of looking at his bike I then proceeded to spend 15 minutes looking at the Ohlins rear shocks of the Yami Vmax sat next to the HD. You can see them in the photo.
Nice shocks they are!
