I can't recall if I ever posted these before or not, but a quick search on the site didn't find them so, after stumbling onto these again I thought I should post them here.

This is from "Mr Martini" of Verona Italy Link who is a specialist builder of Triumphs. (what is it about the Italians and what they can do to a Trumpet) Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, but it works for me. Check out his other Triumph builds on his "Special" page.

-----------------------------------------------------

BTW, anyone know what exhaust he's running here? I can't quite make out the name. Looks Supertrapp or Zard but after a bit of looking It seems as though it's neither.

------------------------------------------------------

Oh, and can't leave off the musical accompaniment

* Oh, and Birdy, I think this calls for a slight detour through Verona on our way through Italy.

You didn't post this so far. And it's an excellent example for good customizing. A couple of very nice details.
- turn lights back to the radiator. Gives a much more clean view of the front
- Single lamp in front - This brings me back to my initial thinking - change the dual lamps of my strom to a single one
- And most of the chrome is gone. Wow...
- As for the exhaust I have written an email to Nicola. Will come back if there's an answer.

Italian design - very cool.

Did a bit of a research. The exhaust is probably Supertrapp's (Universal) Megaphone Series...

I think you may be correct. I was trying to make a name out of the symbol on the exhaust and couldn't ... seems that may well be the supertrapp logo on there. I missed their 'universal' series when looking at their site. hmmm....

Very nice indeed. The only thing I'm not sure about is the exposed sprocket cover, but all-in-all I think it looks real good.

Damn, I wish I'd have seen that saddle stitching before I just did mine... I'd have considered that style. And I love the short cans... I've been trying to visualize a stubby, shorter exhaust. Not quite sure if that exact one would be for me, but it's awfully damned close.

While I've always liked the Luca-style taillights, I think I prefer the stock 'Bird plate position... not overly-crazy about it being up on the rear mud guard.

Nice post, Thatch

Oh, and I've been a big fan of the Reverend for years!

Good find Thatch. That thing looks awesome and the thing that I like most is that it appears they did'nt have to sacrifice the function of the bike to make it look cool.

While poking around on the SuperTrapp Website I found the Aluminum Racing Series Slip-Ons that look very close to the ones used on Mr. Martini's M-Bird

There are also a lot of other cans that might work with a bit of modifications. I'm particularly fond of these Internal Disc Series Slip-Ons

Thanks, Thatch... that's ALL I need: another piece of performance bling to start thinking about and drooling over!

Take a look at the description of those 4"/5" discs on the SuperTrapp website... you can add/subtract them to "tune" your exhaust... pretty cool.
