Going out again tomorrow.

Last run, did about 100 miles and had an ache low down in back.

How do you get on with the rider backrest?

Seat new so probably needs breaking in for a few more miles.

Only done 400 miles, had the Bird three weeks now.

TIA

I'm thinking about it, too. My friend with the Valk has a back rest. It feels pretty comfortable on his.

So, you beat me to the question. Who has an RBR on LHS?

I have the long haul seat and drivers backrest and like it a lot. I had severe lower back issues that made riding for more than and hour or two very uncomfortable but with the long haul and backrest combo I have been able to do 350 mile days with no problem.

There is a thread on the "other forum" where lots of people complain that the adjustment doesn't work well and even setting 1 which is the furthest back is not back far enough. The closest setting will see you humping the tank which is probably not a good thing.

I agree that it could be more adjustable but as far as I am concerned is a winner. I am six feet tall and setting 1 works OK although it would be nice if it was a bit further back.

I also sent my seat to Spencer Link and had him upgrade the foam to Supracor and it has reduced the burning butt syndrome I used to suffer from quite significantly. A great $75 investment.

I'm using one. I love it. Helps me stay in a good position to the handlebars.

I fitted mine a week ago and I love it. I didn't realise that I was putting stress on my lower back until I installed it. To me I seem to "fit snugly" to the bike and I think my handling has improved a wee bit.

I have one and love it, never thought I would, it helps keeps me sitting upright since I tend to slouch when I ride. It flips forward to swing your leg over, getting off is a different story though.

When I bought my SE,the first three things I ordered the same day I bought it were, foward and rear crash bars[or as you guys call em,dresser bars] AND. the RIDER'S BACKREST.The last four machines I owned all had em and I'm now spoiled.lol So buy it.You won't be sorry. Dave!!!

I ordered pipes at madss 2 weeks ago and they told me triumph had them in stock and they'd get them in 3 days then ship. A week later no nothing and i called triumph and was told they are backordered and it will be at least a month from now. I guess that thread on dis-satisfaction with them has some validity. So i tried to cancel the order and no response. Nice. You may wanna see if that backrest is in stock !

Don't feel bad.Since 1978,every machine I've owned, until now, was a Yamaha. And every time I ordered an accessory from Yamaha,no mater what it was,it was always on BACK ORDER,which are the two words I have come to hate. They advertise these accessories, but never have em in stock. When I bought my SE,I had to wait three or four weeks to get the backrest, another month before I got the rear crash bars, and another month before I got the front crash bars. But,atleast,I got em.Give em alittle time.Don't worry, you'll get em.Dave!!!

Had that set up on my Rocket and I appreciated that back support. Next to the Hogslayers...I will probably make the LHS and RBR my next purchase and use it for any trips I make in it.

I'm not worried, I'm not running on the edge of anything. And the Sturgis trip is not until Aug.

I certainly don't blame the best price leader if these low vol. acc. are not right at hand.

But, who's to say they aren't? It's a bit early for gloom and doom on this order.

Who has an RBR on LHS?

I started out with mine on 1 and wanted it further back - but now that I know the bike better I've got it set at 3 and I'm sitting forward more. It's nice to have it there to keep you on the bike when that power takes you by surprise...
