The new Rider magazine and the new Cycle World arrived yesterday. Both have articles/reviews on the Storm. They love it.

Motorcycle News did a review last week and they loved it too. My 500 miles on one confirmed that it is a great bike but I still prefer my T'Bird. Triumph now have an outstanding range in this sector. We just need the aftermarket to develop a bit more but it will come given time.

I prefer my bird too, but lets not forget it's the exact same bike as the 1700 Tbird aside from the cosmetics. I'd like to see what they had to say, but then every review so far has been glowing so i supposed it would just be redundant. I'm anxious to see if the bike wins cruiser of the year again a 3rd in a row. of course if it does it will be the storm this time and HD and other owners will probably deny it won 3 times in a row because "the storm won this time, not the Tbird".

if i haven't said it recently, god i love my tbird ! best bike i ever owned or ridden by far.

It was good to see a STORM and R-III at AZ Bike Week in a vendors tent even though this was a 99.99% HD get together.

If there's a T-bird in the garage then your either sick, broke or missing the time of your life.
Get out and ride that Bird.

The Tbird arrived June 26, 2009 - Speedy was traded in June for a 2012 Bonnie T100.

I didn't know, and felt I should...the only hint I can find is that it was English rhyming slang for "toddle" - an easy walk. I guess it's Yank equivalent would be "a walk over"??

World English Dictionary
doddle (??d??d ?? l)

??? n
informal ( Brit ) something easily accomplished

[C20: perhaps from dodder (vb) to totter]

That's what the dictionary says. Note the perhaps though. Sounds like your guess is as good as theirs.

England and America; two countries separated by a common language. Here in the Colonies a Spotted Dick is something to be very afraid of, especially if it is on you.
