| | Posted : 30 Mar 2011 - 02:54 Post title : Two phrases I have come to HATE | | | I recently ordered some parts for my rear wheel,[bearings,seals,etc.for my Bird, re: rear wheel drive hub] and got a repsonse of BACK ORDER which means,none of the warehouses these people use,have these parts in stock.But they are still looking at other parts supply sources.The other words I have come to hate are: NATIONAL BACK ORDER,which means this part is NOT available anywheres in the country.The good news is that I don't need these parts right away,so I can wait.But just imagine if ya needed em to get your bike,car,truck,etc. back in service.And the really bad news is that there's not a whole lot you can do about it.lol I have run into these two phrases too many times over the years when tryin to repair somethin.Hence I have learned to hate em. lol Dave!!!

| Experience is something you get just after you needed it 1600,Foran Razorbacks, Meerkat bypass, Dyno tune, real headlight,plenty of chrome,switchblade pegs, Nitron R3 shocks & Ikon progressive fork springs etc. Scorpion Western Low handlebars. PH adjustable fork caps.

Well, if you ever get into this senerio and no one has the parts to fix your bike because they're BACK ORDERED,that's when you'll really have a frigin headache.lol lol Dave!!!

i was suprised that a week later it was in.... from spain!!
heres hoping you will get lucky
but you have hit the nail on the head ( probably giving it a headache too) that when we order stuff, we like it within a reasonable time, if its not in stock - a week is a reasonable time anythink over that is simply too long and it shouldnt be oh if your lucky...... a thing i hate is they expect PAYMENT when you order. i put a deposit down wonder if thats why the seat came early???

| | Posted : 31 Mar 2011 - 12:33 Post title : Re: Two phrases I have come to HATE (Re: zolti) | | | I have a couple of friends who work at MC dealerships and they tell me that the reason they either want the money up front,or atleast a sizeable deposit on it before they order it,is because after the part[s] arrive, 9 out of 10 times, the customer who ordered it NEVER comes back to get it.And then the dealer calls em and they still don't come back to pick it up and or PAY for it.Now the dealer is stuck with it which cuts into their profits because they're out that money.If they'e lucky,someone else will come in lookin for that same part and they can now unload it.But that doesn't happen very often.So I can understand the "WHY" for doin business the way they do.Dave!!!
