Matlock Bath) problem - going down a long hill no throttle and the bike cutout - red light came on the dash, kept it in gear and dropping the clutch - after 10 seconds its fired up with a back fire, splut and splatter - at first I thought it was dirt on the plug or fuel but that should had not shut the system down and it would keep running on a single pot- any body els had this problem? running Ok now

I think the ECU just coughs now and then, very rarely. But just a glitch and not anything wrong. now if it does it again soon then you can start worrying enough to have it checked out.

I had two Kawasaki 750s in the early 90s. Both had side stand switches and both switches would get flakey. The bikes would cut in and out. In 35 years I have once jacked the back of the bike off the ground because I left the sidestand down. Disable the switch asap.
