Yesterday I had the check engine lite come on I found a vacum line had came losse under the fuel tank . Reconnected it went for a ride and the lite went off. today took her for a ride and the vibes through the bars and pegs have got much worse I am getting worried I may have a major problem it only has 6500 miles on her could it be out of balance throttle bodys? does any body have a part # or link for the cable to use with tune ecu thanks

Start it and let it go through the twelve minute adaptation routine. Running with the MAP disconnected probably goofed some of the throttle settings. Do this before worrying about anything else.

Absolutely agree with baltothunder. Anyways, if you do want to get the canle for tuneecu, go to tuneecu.com and it tells you which cable to look for. Theres a seller on ebay from hong kong that sells them for $10 and i can recommend them as thats where i got mine. You can check the throttle bodies with it, but i don't think thats your problem. The fact it started right after the line came losse tells me the adaption changed something to compensate. May even go away after a bit more riding, as the bike adapts as you ride over a certain amount of time/miles. But the 12 minute tune will get you there right away so you can find out now.

1-start bike w/o touching the throttle at all
2-let idle till fan comes on
3-time it from the moment fan comes on and from that point let it idle 12 minutes, then turn it off and you're done.

Don't waste your day worrying just yet. I'm sure the 12 minute tune will sort it. And if not it'll be a simple issue i'm sure. Also, if you haven't seen me rave maniacally about the short TORs and how they reduced my bikes vibes, and if you don't have those, consider them to further reduce it even if it does go back after the 12M tune. The bike is so smooth with them that over 80 where it used to barely be bearable it's now smooth as silk.

Does the "12 minute tune" work if you have short TORS or is the bilke tuned (mapped) differently by the dealer when they are fitted ?

the dealer will have remapped it when fitting the tors

if you bike is running ok leave alone, its adaptive

I am happy to leave it alone, I have absolutely no intention of changing anything, what I'm interested in knowing is "if" something went wrong on mine like the OP was describing, and I followed the advice on here would it be the wrong advice for someone with short TORs ? .... In other words does the 12 minute tune screw up a retuned(remapped) for short TORs bike ?

Curiosity only question.

OK, the 12 min adaption is a seperate ECU function. It's for all the bikes. It has nothing to do with the fuel maps,
but all the intake/exhaust physical/electrical environment is taken into account as the the sensors are aligned
with the very low bandwith Oxygen monitors in the pipes.

The adaptipon is nothing more than a up table for a few values values that the ECU can consider
as it decides on a micro-second level, what it will do next.

For example, ECU asks if idle TPS has any adaption, and how far is it from optimal. Then it does
something about that and in about a milisecond asks again based on what it sees in the rest of
the sensor net. Runs the 5-6 actuators including spark firing and asks again before you can blink once.

How much trouble this asking - sensing - acutating, is based on what the answers are in the adaption table.

It will adapt itself over time. But, it's quite possible the sub-routine needs to be run once, at least, in dealer prep.
No harm in making sure. It has helped me with starting problems and the manual says to do it when you
change things on the bike.
