How come every time I click on a thread it takes me to one of the middle pages? That's stupid, IMO. It should load the first page first so I can read the original post. Is there a setting that missed when setting up my preferences?

It should take you to the first new (non-viewed) post, whichever that may be.

Please PM me with Browser details etc. (IE, Firefox and Opera currently supported).

One way to determine if it indeed is doing what Boomer said is try opening a multi page thread when NOT logged in, then when logged in. It should do what you've been experiencing when logged in but not when you aren't.

Boomer - the feature works unless the unread posts span two pages. It then takes you to the last page and you miss some unread posts.

I use both IE8 (work) and Google Chrome (home). I posted this thread from home so that would've been Chrome.

I just tried it from work (IE8) and it did the same thing. I've not read more than one or two threads. Heck, I've only posted 4 or 5 tmes. Anyway, I'd MUCH prefer to be taken to the first page of the thread I click on.

I also tried adding my fuelly link (see others have done this), but it's not cooperating either.

Personally, I like to be taken to the last unopened post. When I'm following and commenting on a thread, I don't want it to start at the top of the first page, I would have to page down to the bottom and click on the next page to get to the comments that I haven't read yet. I like the forum as is myself.

The way the posts jump is a function I like. If you have viewed a thread it will automatically go to the new post you have not read. If you need a refresher just click on the start of the thread.

I agree with the last couple of posts - I like to be taken to the last unread post, but it would be nice to see the bug I mentioned above fixed as it causes me to miss some posts.

Duly noted (including TbirdDaryl's link issue). Will get back to you soon.

I have corrected it for you. You didn't need the URL and IMG etc. conventions, it's much simpler.
For a link or an image all you need is the address (always starting with "http" etc.). The rest is done automatically.
For a link you can then go back in and edit the title to whatever you like (just replace the word "title").

This is all in the Useful Forum Information thread in this (Lounge) section.

No problem. I actually saw it the first time round and did some tests. Can you please tell me how many posts per page you have in your set up as this may help. I think the default is 15 or 20. Thanks.

I'll have to ask you to bear with us on this one as is not a quick fix.
It's a bit more complicated with too many potential side effects (a bit of open-heart surgery )

While we were at it, we did revise the avatar size issue in the "Members" section so that they are uniform (you may have noticed our "tinkering" with the avatars ).
In the near future we'll also be adding a sorting feature in that section (sort by Country, sort by Registration date etc.).

I see, thank you. The Fuelly site provides the links stating "use this in your signature on other forums". Thus, I just copied and pasted what they provided. Thanks again for fixing it!
