Since I like a "clean and finished" look on my Tbird, I never really liked the fact that you can see the axle nuts, bolts, and screws on the swing arm. So, I decided to cover it all up with the Storm's black swing arm cover kit (don't like the chrome one). Installation takes about 10 minutes, as I removed the exhausts to prevent any scratches or dents (yeah, I'm the clumsy type ). I really like the look now on my blue/white Tbird.

Thought I'd share a few pics of the covers:

A little side note for German/Swiss/Austrian Tbirders who are also considering that kit: it's not in Triumph's official price list and it's not listed on the Storm's configurator on Triumph's local website. I got the order number from the English website and forwarded it to my dealer so he could order the kit for me.

Really like how these dress up the bike giving it a cleaner look!!
Couple of questions - how do they install and do you still have that part number?

Thanks

Hello Anaconda,

the order number is A9648019, according to the English website. You can find instructions on how to install Triumph accessories here: Link

In short: at the back the covers are held in place by the drive belt tensioner screws, and there are 2 smaller screws on each side. It's a tight and clean fit. On the right hand side, one of the screws goes up from underneath the swing arm. It's a straight forward procedure, I only saw the official instructions on how to mount them just now. Let me know if you need any further info about them.

They look good and tidy. But over here I see them getting jam packed full of mud. Prefer them in black rather than the bling ones.

Do you have pictures of them where the whole bike is shown? How much U paid for them?

A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station...

Sam, I will have to get back to you - the bike is still in "hibernation" for the last few days of winter in a garage about 80km away from where I live. But it's only a matter of days now, until I go and fetch it.

The dealer made a very good price, I paid 110 Euro for them (list price of the chrome ones is 141 Euro and the black ones are as much as the chrome ones on the English website, so I assume the list price of the black ones is 141 Euro too).

Lost, thanks for the heads-up. I don't use my bike in winter, but I will definitely follow your advice. Cheers! |IMG Src='http://www.thunderbird1600.com/csp/thunderbird/Images/Emoticons/More/032.gif'>

Thanks for the info Stockwell and the heads up Lost!

When I get my Bird out of storage in a week or so I'm going to get rid of the belt chirping (great site info!) and definitely look into getting these...

I like them also and there is a good picture on MADSS, probably a better price than direct from Triumph.
