the bike isn't 2 years old yet. there's rust coming up on the fog light brackets, the side stand, the 4 round chromed things at hte top of the cylinders & the fog lights have condensation on both of them. it was sprayed with acf50 over for the winter & it's all appeared since i first used it a fortnight ago.
ringing the dealers tomorrow.

i aint a happy bunny

That sucks.

I have read though that chrome is porous and needs to be sealed with regular polishing.

the bike before this one was a 1999 legend only rust on that was on the chromed wheel rims. reckon it's all down to (lack of) quality nowadays

right. took it in today for the dealer to have a look at. to keep it short he's blaming the ACF50. i sprayed it with for the winter. it was cleaned , sprayed with ACF50 then put in garage
considering ACF50s claims i find this very hard to believe

Funny that the longest write up was posted on a Hinkley Triumph site.

Look on Zolti's link - its the last recomendation at the bottom.

Triumph dealer is taking the piss blaming this stuff - if its good enough for aircraft its good enough for the Bird.

I used GT85 on my America, sprayed everything, it dried to a slightly greasy film, it seemed to work as the bike was an 2003 model, and when I traded it for the Thunderbird it cleaned up like new after wiping all the GT85 off and giving it a quick polish.

Might be worth contacting makers of ACF50 and asking their opinion.

See if they have a public relations department, it might be in their interest to back up your claim that ACF50 does not cause corrosion.

Good Luck.
