I really wanted to look at the bars because . I love the look of my T bars but could really do with them being a bit higher and closer .
Anyway walked in straight away noticed it and thought that looks a lot bigger than mine , coud'nt quite put my finger on it but decided it must be the bars giving the impresion because they are taller but they looked cheap 1 inch has opposed to my thick chunky ones , i was going to put twin headlights on mine well before they announced the storm i'm glad i did'nt , all in all i did'nt like it .
It must sound silly because , really its a normal thunderbird with T bars and a 100 cc more , but i think its the blacked out look i could'nt get my head around , still i guess there will be a big demand for it and for a 1000 dollars more than the standard , thats cheaper than doing the bb kit yourself .
But then again i traded my black Street bob for the silver bird , and i had the choise of a black t bird then and did'nt really like them has much , regards the extra power , Mmmm jurys out on that one the 1600 has enough for me , I can lose my liscence on a 1600 just has quick has on my rocket or a 1700 storm .
I will say though when they get a demo model in i will definetly give it a ride , so i can check out the feel of the bike with the bars . i actually measured them and they are approx 30 mm higher and 20 mm further away .
So if i like the position of them will i buy them , will i hell , i'll go buy the thunderbike bars because they are chunky thicker bars just like my T bars

But I kept seeing pictures of the phantom red haze one and once I found out there were only two left in the country...I decided to go for it instead (mine was shipped from California).
Before I left Pensacola to come back over here I visited my dealership and they had a Storm demo out...I almost missed it I didn' t even realize it was the Storm (though the twin headlights should have been a dead giveaway and the fact that it was black)...guess my thoughts were elsewhere...I was stopping by to say good bye to my friends at the dealership before I came back here.
Anyway...after looking at it...I am kind of glad I did get mine...I like the red/black combo better...I get the benefits of having the fastest color by far (red) and the black which should hold me back a bit and keep me from getting any tickets (batting 0 since 1989 in that department and I want to keep it that way...if possible), besides out of the last seven bikes I have had four of them have been in the red/black combo color).
The jury is still out on whether or not I want to go for that twin headlight look...I will probably wait until there are some Storm owners around with 5,000 miles or more and if they don't have the "weak" ignition problem the Rocket III had (commonly thought by many to be caused by headlight relay with ignition switch) I may move on that later.
Right now I have a mirror to replace, get some miles on my bike in August so that I can get my first service out of the way and get the full synthetic oil in and will probably shell out the bucks for the Hogslayers.

Too much black for me,but some people like that. When I saw it on the web site I thought it look bad ass but after seeing it in person I had a change of heart. I like how some of the guys are modding their birds much better.

Normal triumph both Standars and T bars are 1025-----1030mm from bar to floor
Storm roughly 1050mm ( think thats correct i did'nt write it down)
Thunderbike 1070mmm
Seems the Thunderbike are a little higher again , but they are CHUNKY just like the triumph t bars .
Distance away both the storm and the Thunderbike are approx 15mmm further away
Soon has they get a demo i will be riding one with the view to changing my bars

yeah i agree, after seeing it i kept thinking , that i like but that is just too much black, bit of a mix would have suited me better. do like the dual lights though must do mine, but with chrome shells
