The cap is made out of metal, likely a non ferrous material but not plastic, too heavy and it "tinks" like metal. I have been writing guys who order and as long as your key looks like one of these two, your good. I have been more hesitant with the overseas guys just because of the shipping and don't want them waiting and having to return it if it doesn't work. Again, if your key blade looks like either of these two, your good because these are the blades you get, none other available at this time.
One application suggestion, do not put the flag on until you have it on in the bike ignition, decide how you want to orient the flag if you want it horizontal when the key is on or off, you want it to look cool when parked or going down the road? When the key is in the on position the decal will rotate out of it's horizontal plane when off.
David, the error my cutter made was they cut too much off removing the barbed tip of the key, it should look like a spear point with "barbs" this holds the key in when the ignition is on, at least it did for mine. And David, why is your bike cleaner than mine?

Oh... maybe because you live in the Frozen North Country, are too busy flying in helicopters and then tending to the needs of others (like us demanding parts hounds!)
At least TRY to give her a good cleaning before you leave for the Arizona trip, buddy... you know that clean bikes just ride better.

BTW, my cutter was able to leave those barbs in place, so my new key stays nice and snug in the ignition... hopefully!

leaving the key in when parked where I live = no bike
there was a case down south where a group of theives even resorting to attacking a biker just after he filled up, tank full, key in and rider off the bike.
