So, yet again, a moto writer thinks the Triumph is at least the equal of other cruisers and most likely superior.
And many still do not believe..........

Not a bad write up...I had seen it already over at the R3owners site (still maintaining ties over there)...but the reviewer still gave it only 4 out of a possible 5...what do you have to do to get a 5?

would like to know too
ll its 40 per cent dearer here.

wonder what the import tax is, might be cheaper buying one and importing it

or is it cheaper to give someone over there the money to buy it, pass ownership and bring it in second hand?

Yes, the US price is before tax. In the US, there is no Federal (US) tax or VAT... sales tax is charged at different rates state by state and city by city.

Yes - what a bummer . I was looking on the interweb for a TBird for my dad (in Montana) and it was easier and cheaper to buy a new one than &uckaround trying to get second hand (or used). No purchase tax in Montana ? 4 grand cheaper than new in the UK and its been on a cruise ship. When hell freezes over we can go across to the US and ride one back.

My first natural instinct is to breathe. My second is to evade tax's.

The Thunderbird is definitely an expensive bike here! $23500 minimum! To get a remotely comparable Harley add $10000. The government shafts us big time in taxes and import charges!
