Have had the Tbird SE about 3 weeks now, haven't had a lot of opportunities to ride due to winter but have managed to put a couple hundred miles on it. My other bike is an 08 Yamaha Venture and I got the Triumph for more of an intown short hop bike. I knew the bikes were different, but the difference is amazing. The Venture is made for the highway, like riding on a cloud for hours and hours on end. In town it's a lumbersome, top heavy, slow handling bike. The Tbird on the other hand (as you all know and I'm finding out), is fun as hell to ride in town, in the twisties, and I"m really kind of curious how it'll do on the longer runs. Hope to find out soon. Couldn't be happier with this bike, and will probably be pestering those who've had one a while on accessories, tips and tricks on maintenance etc. Seems like an excellent forum and I'm sure I'll kill a lot of time on here, lol.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is on the freeway. The only exception is that you may expoerience some buffeting at speed.

Early input on the Corbin Contraband bat wing is very positive, however. See narsisco_lopez's post in accessories. So if you equip it like you Venture, I think you'll have a better ride.

Thanks, I've already used the search feature on here several times, both before I bought the bike and since. Good way to spend hours while waiting on a plane. Actually seems to work better than on some of the other forums I'm on so that's a good thing.
Thanks for the welcome, hope to be a regular.
