You lucky bastard!

I got a call from my dealer 3 weeks ago saying my bike would be here on the 13th of Feb.

Still hadn't heard anything by the 16th so I thought I'd ring up and see what was happening only to be advised
it's been delayed by a month....

G'day Coneye

My original order was for a black ABS which hadn't arrived after a 12 month wait. Apparently Triumph Oz do not like bringing them in as they think they wont sell them. (A fact which my dealer failed to tell me about when he took my deposit)

As soon as I saw the storm I changed both my dealer and order.

Unfortunately the waiting game continues

Enjoy Mito, look forward to the pics.

Odamus, was it the black or the abs or combination? My blue&white(best colour )abs took three months even though Triumph Aust lost the dealers order, but in the end they both pulled out all stops and got me a bike, made mine from two, so I ended up with a 2011 spec.

No idea what the drama was Leethal

When I put down the deposit I was told there would be no dramas, but there was delay after delay after delay.

In the end it was a whole year later and still no bike......

It is killing me seeing members getting their bikes on time whilst I am experiencing yet another delay

It has now been 17 months since my original order. Even though I am partially to blame in changing the order to the storm that knowledge is not making me feel any happier at the moment!

Gotta go get a nice cup of harden the f*ck up I guess

Something not right there mate. Which state are you in? I can understand the Storm delay but not that long for a Tbird.Someone needs

Sorry, to hear that, really! Hope Triumph will sort that out and waiting will be over for you, too! After the order did you get an approx. delivery date? Since the bikes are made in the sequence of the order Triumph knows when your bike should be in production. My dealer could, after my order, tell me an approx. date, which at the end was correct.

I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!

Yes my smile is near this one

Weather was not that bad, but it seems to get worst now... Anyhow, I have planned a couple of mods Sissybar and mirrors for now.

Starting from March I will do my first rides...

It was a new purchase. Did rent Bonnies and Thunderbirds in the last 2 years at this dealer, so I got a good picture about their work. As for the bars as soon as I get her I'll tell you, maybe molinoman can already tell you something.

EXCELLENT!

Maybe you should roll her over to Erne's Euromotors Zurich and get him to do your headers and pipes!

It must have be great to watch your own bike being uncrated, huh? And, in the long run, cheaper than one of your kids being born!

erne's interpretation of the Storm isn't that bad, the pipes are very nice.
We all know - A bikers work is never finished... We'll see.
Anyhow, flat black is fasterrrrrr..... and it looks awsome...

Since the kids are almost out, I finally found a new money crunching machine

We don't have kids (and are NOT having any!), so I have NO problem spending what WOULD have been their college fund on my bike, guitars, and traveling!

After some time I'm back with the actual bike. Some work has been done and I just love it

This weekend I also did my first 200km on the bike. Just can say: A dream come true!

Here some pics documenting the stages...

Changing the fenderstrut in order to have have a slim design...

starting to model the sissybar...

forming, working, ...

her's the result in metal...

some powdercoating...

...and the bike now got its own look...

Still not at the end: A biker's work never stops. Have still some other projects in the pipe.

But for the moment I just want to ride...
