I helped un-pack one at my dealers...

I liked the black engine casings - that's what made me order them to fit on my 'Bird.
Otherwise, there's just a little too much black for my likings.

Man, that narrator's voice almost put me to sleep... talk about unenthusiastic. Did you catch the name of the Motorcycle-Usa.com cruiser editor? "Brian Harley"

Man, I love the way that thing looks. I thought about waiting for it, but I found a black TBird dealer demo back in December 2010 and the timing was good and the price was right. I don't regret it at all because I love the way mine looks as it is. But maybe one day they'll make the twin headlights available as an option.

What's up with the sheriff's officer at the very end of the vid? Don't tell me he wrote everyone a ticket! I can understand if you kick it up thru a residential area & get cited, but out on a open desert road?!!

Yeah that name got a laugh out of me . Also noticed the drive belt looked like it was centered in the pulley.I'd be interested to see if those bars give a bit of forward lean too.

Don't care for much about the Storm, and I'll leave it at that... but, I am going to check into the price of that pulley. I would be nice to have a factory blacked out one instead of the cast plastic looking one on the standard bird

I was thinking about painting my pulley blue(to match the best colour ) when I replace my tyre, hate the grey undercoat look. I didn't realise that they were available in chrome until the dealer told me the day they delivered my bike to my house. I wish he hadn't mentioned it because I now look at it every time.

It's over $500 thatch, i think $550 if i recall. Remember, stock parts are a lot more expensive than the accessory parts. For example, the chrome pulley is $450. But even if it were just $100, why? I mean, the easiest thing to paint and do a factory looking job is heavily textured parts like the pulley. And the easiest color is flat black. Or satin if you wish. For a $3 can of enamel you have what you want, and it will look as good as any.

T,

I had my pulley powder coated gloss black for 75 bucks and it looks great.

You're probably right about the painting or powder coating, I'm just going to be away so long that a quick bolt on solution works better for me. I'm back in country for 3 weeks where I have to try and get all the repairs on my bike sorted on top of everything else that is going on, then I'm gone again for a month. The painting I'm not big on simply because I suspect it will be a rather short term solution and start to look bad in short order. Plus there is an advantage to being able to go back to stock at any point. (for trade in / resale)

I'll check with my local shop when I get back if they could do the powder coating while working on the rest of the repairs. We shall see.
