Doesn't the Thunderbird have an adjustable clutch & brake lever like the Rocket? Both bikes cost nearly the same! I sat on a 2001 rocket at the dealer I friday & thought how nice it would be. Can the T bird be fitted with these?

Don't know, it's a bit silly as my old Bonnie had them too and made it very comfortable.
Also wish the 'bird had a headlight flasher switch - very useful.

Educate me and I'll go looking.

When you say headlight flasher, what are you referring too? A headlight modulator?

i think he means a push to make switch, when you push the swithc it flashes the headlight could be used to flash another biker instead of waving etc, on a spring return usually

The Thunderbird does have an adjustment on the front brake lever as do most bikes with juice brakes. However, since the clutch uses a cable it only has the free play adjustment wheel only at the handle bar end.If it had a juice clutch, then it would be just like the brake lever. Dave!!!

What I find strange is that they are not adjustable and have a significant span. I wear size large gloves and I stretch a bit to grab the levers. The brake is adjustable as a far as where it grabs, but not the initial span. Those with smaller hands must struggle a bit.

I don't appear to have a problem with the levers.

It is kind of bizarre but my 2000 - 2002 Thunderbirds had the headlight flashers as standard equipment and the adjustable levers were an optional accessory. And they were also standard on the T'bird Sport.

NORMALLY I don't either....

BUT - after a looooong day and my fingers get tiered, then I do notice the occasional 'dropping' of the clutch!
I NEVER had that when I was riding my Speedmaster with the levers set on position 4 (closest to you).

I dont have a problem with them either . Im 6 foot 4 with hands built for twisting over a Gibson fret board. But, it is not about me its about pure lazyness and lack of some thought and consideration to some other riders who are small and feable with girly hands........
