I am tall and have one ergonomic problem with my 2010 T-Bird. When I make a sharp right turn and my foot is on the rear brake, my handlebars graze the top of my right knee. I can rotate the bars up a bit to fix the problem, but risk basically changing the basic handling of the bike, or I could replace the handlebars and/or add some kind of riser to the existing bars. Suggestions welcomed, and problems associated with each choice. I like the current bars, but need an additional inch or two higher bars. Hopefully, someone out there has had a similar problem and can suggest a solution.

I think there is a mis-conception about changing the basic handling. Within reason those bars of yours are meant to be adjusted to your center of gravity. That will improve the handling. Triumph offers T-bars and Beach bars for the bike, so, don't worry about that.
Now, technically there are a lot of things in the rake and trail, tire width, diameter, etc. that will cause problems. You aren't going there.
This bike is so well balanced. Aside from Apes, routinely hated and loathed here, I say it can be improved. And I have.
5" drag riser 210 gram Throttlemiester bar ends all lowered within scraping distance of the tank (not quite, currently...another story)
I also, as many have, taken 8 pounds off the very low, back with Short TOR pipes and it just improves the balance.
Don't think you are stuck, you are just beginning to balance the bike for you.

As long as you don't go TOO crazy (i.e. apes) I don't think handling will be adversely affected. I'm looking at getting some risers too. I don't need too much.. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what I can do without replacing hoses and cables etc. Those ones Daz linked to from Fast Eddy might be just the ticket.
