What will they do? Is it really nesassary to pay 150 quid or whatever it is to the dealer to do a service when I cant see ive used the bike enough to warrent one. Im certainly not technicaly minded so Im in the dark here. Are we talking about an oil change and filter for 1800 miles ? DO they do something else . Im told they check the breaks . Why? they were fine 1800 miles ago so why would they be shot now?
Any advice guys please ...

Valves are at 12k so you're a long way off for that since you would count 12k from the BB install. But i am assuming you changed out the break in oil, right? If not, that should have been done 600 miles or thereabouts after the BB kit, and if you haven't you should ASAP ! Other than that and valves, the rest is really based on the bike's mileage which you never stated. See, the valves and oil are counted from the time of the BB kit, the coolant too IF they indeed changed it and didn't re-use the old coolant when they did the BB. Everything else is dependent on the original mileage which you need to tell us. Personally i check and torque any critical bolts every so often such as axl bolts and others that could cause a serious problem if they come loose while riding. I check the belt once a week or so since it takes all of 3 seconds. Brake oil should be renewed once every couple years, tho i think 3-4 is more realistic. Keep an eye on the brake pads, tires, and any liquids and that pretty much covers the main concerns.
If you don't have a service manual you should get one. But i think the small little owners manual has the service intervals for each item, so look at that and it will give you an idea, Personally i look at it and make mental adjustments myself based on what i've experienced in my life working on vehicles. Like the brake fluid for example. I mentioned 3-4 years because i never found any issues waiting longer and i think they recommend the very earliest mileage it could possibly be a good idea for several reasons, one being not so legit....profit. The same with many things. But if i were you i'd get a torque wrench and a manual and check critical bolts now and then, ESPECIALLY after any service. Twice dealers have left critical bolts on mine loose....not just torqued too low....totally loose ! Safety as you no doubt agree is even more important than the bike's health.

Oh another thing . Does the oil go funny after a year and need to be changed? Is that milage based too?
