and to the lurkers as well.
if you find anything that works to improve our bikes,
or things tried and not so well.
appreciate that this forum is THE PLACE that triumph should watch for product improvement.
expect some fine riding weather ahead, a new Corbin fairing just installed with heated grips, and single digit weather...
a new test windscreen or two to optimize the aeordynamics to perfection on the silver bird.
and a final selection of hard bags and its done.
safe riders save lives.

(Re: teebird) | | | Just ordered the TBars , Triumph are replacing my front forks with chrome ones as mine are corroded. Next is chrome wheels that should do for this year. Next year new paint job I think .
Oh Im going to respray the Gas cap Eddie sent me with a cross of snt george on it see how that looks .

(Re: BigJack) | | | Gonna order up MY Corbin in the next few days (see the mock-up below courtesy of some photos taken of Teebird's new fairing and then color-matched to my bike in Photoshop  )
Got a few other things I want for my big 10K mile early summer trip... after the Contraband fairing, next up will be a new rear bag...
I've also got my eye on a Garmin Zumo 660 (a few new ones on eBay right now at a pretty good discount).
Then... sometime in the first week of June, I'll be leaving for my trip. Will go solo to Rhode Island and meet up there with my high school buddy and riding partner. After 4 or 5 days hanging out, eating seafood, we'll head out... meandering up through Vermont and upstate New York and find a suitable route up into Canada (hopefully, going up the U.P of Michigan, around the Thunder Bay area, head west from there, back down into the US via Yellowstone and down into Denver to rest up. Then, we'll head west again to Yosemite and central California. The tentative route is below...
Hoping to just break 10,000 miles over 3 weeks on the road!

As for the faring... you'll have to ring up your brother for some more chequered striping to go up the front of that thing.

Now I think that would like quite smart. Just have to cut off a screw head to glue in there so it looks right. Should look great on the bird. I considered going that route but ultimately decided the script fit my direction better.

I'll probably have the bag sometime in February... my riding partner lives a few miles from Twisted Throttle and will go over the bag with a fine-toothed comb for me on his next visit  I'll let you know my general impressions when/if I get it.
As for the "chequers"... that's the plan! Gonna get him to make me another piece of vinyl, but at the rate he works, I HOPE I can get him to do it before June

Yeah, I've made some mods to the route and will probably make more before we actually go west... all depends upon my riding partner's schedule. I really do want to add that section back in, but may end up doing it in a separate trip.
