Wow! glad you survived that one, it sounded spectacular. If you watched your crash in replay how many marks out of ten would you award yourself? Allow extra points for style and bonus points for plenty of sparks!
Glad to see your sense of humor has survived too.

Nothing out of the ordinary and on a corner i've taken a hundred times before. Apparently the marks indicate a slide off the road into the gravel and then it was all over.

Oh yeah...my last memory was alot of metal on road.

Stueyb was behind me and tells me I executed 2 ariel moves with a high degree of difficulty finishing off with a rag doll down a gully. Any dismount you can hobble away from is a good one. The judge gave me an 8 with 50% bonus for difficulty...so I guess that clinches the gold...Let see your chinese gymnast do that lol
The bike did a full cartwheel and a 180 in the horizontal parking it self upright against a big rock. . I dont know that the Storm is in my future...I finally had the 'Bird how I wanted it.
The good news is the insurance company is writing the 'Bird off. Thanks to all of you for your words of encouragement, it cheered me up. Have a safe Christmas and a trouble free new year.

I had someone pull out on me last year and it was a straight on T-boner, I flew over the bonnet, helmet came off (not fastened - lesson learnt) and I landed on my back on the tarmac. Got up - no injuries, I was the happiest bunny in the forest and almost wanted to congratulate the bitch for a great collision. It sure did teach me a lot about keeping my eye open for idiots. Good to know that you can ride again. It is my biggest fear that 'if' I have another smash I will never ride again.
Hope you have some lives left.

I'm always happy to hear how a good helmet has saved someone's life, or quality of it, and that your protective gear did it's job.
I'm also glad that you have good enough spirits to wanna get another bike and get back on the horse.
Thanks for the report of your off.....reminds us all to not only enjoy our biker lifestyle, but to be careful all the same while ripping that throttle and railing those bends. Hope you recover well both physically and headspace.
Just think....you get to enjoy a brand new bike and customising all over again.

I did like the sound of 3 women stripping naked at the scene, oh sorry stripping you naked, well thats different. Don't suppose you could appreciate it at the time. In all seriousness I wish you all the best and hope you make a full recovery & have as merry Christmas as possible.

its always scares the shit out of me after a close call, you then think is it really worth riding with the danger then you see the bike and all you want to do is ride.

It is the nicer looking HD but also the most uncomfortable bike I have ever sat on. And service intervals every 4K - just leave them your wallet.
