It's an electric superbike by Mission Motors called the Mission R. It has a claimed 141 hp and 115 ft.lb torque and has a claimed top speed of 160 mph. I think it looks pretty great, for an electric superbike, that is. I can't even imaging the challenges one would face when designing a bike like that. Shoot, I can't imagine the challenge one would face designing a cruiser, either, but it must be waaay different. Here's a link and a peek at the bike. Link Well it looks like he's pulled off another one-of-a-kind bike design. Well done, Mr. Prentice!
Edit: here's a link to Prentice's design company, Motonium, Inc. It's interesting looking at his designs how they run the entire gamut of bikes from cruisers like the T-bird, Rocket 3T, Honda Rune to an Indian concept cruiser to the new superbike to even motocross bikes. Impressive, indeed. Link
| Not likely to die of natural causes. At least I hope not.

Tim was there and wanted to know what I thought of the Storm so we talked for a while. They just finished this bike before the show. Tim said he has not ridden it yet and can't wait to do so. Mission Motors is known for their expertise in the system electronic controllers and uses the motorcycle in their R&D work. The bike will be available for about $70,000.00. They sell their controller to other manufactures. Pekka (Pappasgarage) and I got to meet Tim and ride with him, and a bunch of others, when Triumph took their west coast dealers to a special Thunderbird sales seminar last year here in Fallbrook, Ca. Pekka and I kind of crashed the ride and ended up being invited to tag along by the corporate guys there. It was a fun day. Tim did mention the TT but not sure if he was talking future with this bike or last years race with their first electric bike.
| If there's a T-bird in the garage then your either sick, broke or missing the time of your life. Get out and ride that Bird.
The Tbird arrived June 26, 2009 - Speedy was traded in June for a 2012 Bonnie T100.
