Love it, great looking bike, save one thing.... the chrome engine. Would of loved to have seen that antiqued a bit so it didn't pop out so much, otherwise sh looks great.

Rider looks a bit scrawny for that size bike.

Is it really a hard tail? I was thinking about the crossbones seat with springs but did not like the HD bike beneath.

What's up with that front mudguard? Is that a fin?

I want the fenders and rims for my SE.

DizzE, I believe that was the old style European license plate. Might be wrong, but that's what was on the old German bikes.

I made it down there yesterday, left in pouring rain which let up over the Sepulveda Pass, took the car. I was surprised at the number of people who rode in. The Triumph set up was good, and I enjoyed watching people sit on the TBs. Even a few HD riders.
I want to look for one of these Honda 90s when we get to VN in Jan, there are still a few over there. And they can be fixed up on the cheap.

That was the big kids bike. We only got to putt-putt with 50cc and only on the dirt roads.

I had one of those as a kid, we took the fenders off and "trimmed" the weight any way we could.

Don't worry, there's still time for your tastes to develop.

Truth be told the pipes on that bike are pretty heinous. He would of been much better served keeping the original headers. The whole bike isn't something that I would have done but I like seeing someone taking it this way. The full headlight nacelle is a nice touch and certainly speaks to the original tbirds. I'd much rather see this than the 'I'm a bigger badass than you' style mods that invariably come from a new cruiser being released.

Well, to be brutally honest that bike is pretty much the antithesis of what i like. Nothing they did to it is anything short of fugly to my eye, and you couldn't give that thing to me. Literally every single change makes me cringe. So when i see people digging it i just can't understand it even knowing these things are subjective. But to make things worse, it seems the bike world is now copying something the guitar manufacturers have been doing for a decade or so now..... "relicing". The act of purposely making new items looking worn out, and as guitars go i can sorta understand that tho wouldn't want one myself. But relicing bikes is just far beyond my ability to understand.

trust me on this thatch....this is one area where my tastes will NEVER develop !

relicing...had not heard that. I suppose it's like "distressing" furniture. Oh yeah, those slot screw driver
punches all over, look natural....sure they do.

No wonder I think it looks like something that recycled from Star Wars
and ended up in a Road Warrior movie.

Actually, I still can't believe it's not some kind of cruel joke. For 2012? Really? Oh, Really?
After putting out the BDMW, next is Storm and Relic....really?

Hey guys - This is not a bike to be produced. It was on Triumphs show floor yes but just someone's
rat bike and it was hard-tailed. That HD headlight cowl did it in for me.

Sorry I was having so much fun looking at everything that i did not take pictures on many bikes. There were so many people around all the new Triumphs that I could not get a clear shot anyway.
They were giving away a new R3 Touring and for your personal information you received a chance to win.
Pekka has a picture of the Storm he can put on here.
I'm pretty sure the price on the Storm was $13,899 as she sat at the show. A very desirable bike with all the right stuff. It would have been nice to see some upgraded suspension on it but probably wasted on the average buyer.
The New Tiger 800 and 800xc will make that kind of rider (i am not) very happy i'm sure.
The New Speed Triple is a very cool bike too and if I was 30 years younger I would be wanting one for sure.
There was also the new Daytona 675R, America and Speedmaster. If i was buying a Speedmaster now instead of 2005 I would probably purchase the America. But, then again, of them all I would likely purchase the new Storm.
That Triumph Bag give-away was the joke. Just a pull-string, flat nylon bag (14" x 17"). Maybe it was meant to be a "Show Media Stuff"
carry bag. Mine will go on the bike shed wall.
Again sorry for not enough pictures - I only had my cellphone camera anyway.

If there's a T-bird in the garage then your either sick, broke or missing the time of your life.
Get out and ride that Bird.

The Tbird arrived June 26, 2009 - Speedy was traded in June for a 2012 Bonnie T100.

Well you should see the "roadworn" series. every one has the exact same wear pattern ! The whole idea of pre-worn guitars is wacky to me. Others think it's great. i bought a cheap little fender squier duo-sonic a while back for kicks and it turned out i hated it. So the guy i sold it to tells me he's gonna relic it and sell it for double the cost i paid new ! he even sent me a pic after he "destroyed" the poor thing. People will buy anything....all ya gotta do is convince a few weak minded individuals it's a good thing and once they adopt it the hoards of lemmings will follow. Gotta figure tho that is a great trend for retailers....1)-if someone scratches a relic while testing it out, not big deal, as it's worth even more now. 2)-if someone dents a non relic one while testing it out, the dealer now has a much more valuable relic model on his hands. In fact, if i were a dealer i'd just throw a grenade in the showroom and run. Then your entire inventory just got a whole lot more valuable.
