What happens if you get caught by the old bill with the short exhaust from Triumph in England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland?

Not only that but they wouldnt know an offroad pipe from a cheese omlette . The Triumph short tors are quiet arround town anyway and concidering the HOG brigade are twice as loud and never get picked up it honestly dosnt matter.
The only issue here is the MOT but my dealer has said , one, he dosnt know what they will do and how the emissions will look on the TORs and two they will just put the stocks on for the exhaust test anyway if the TORs affect the readings.
My brother and I have been riding with short TORs for a year and a bit and never had an issue with the police here . That is even when sitting next to them in traffic .

Its too much like hard work to prove that they are right , its not a 'quick nick' for them and could end up a waste of time . As far as I know they have not introduced emissions for bikes yet so when they do it will only trouble those bikes from that date onwards.

I would take it that you'll be German license plates - so basically I would think that they'll tell you to ride off quietly.
Law says that so long as the parts fitted are approved in the country that the bike is registered then there shouldn't be a problem.

Hmmmmm, so what's the best way for me to 'sneak in' for our big road trip? How much hassle do the local police give the folks at Tridays?
*I wonder how many TOR or other alt exhausts are going to be in our riding group

I would recomend coming in over the Rheinheim/Zurzach crossing - after 16:00 hrs
Otherwise - rollover nice and slowly, you shouldn't have a problem

Absolutely nothing here! I had a stage 2 tuned SE-Ultra, PCIII, hi flow a/c & high flow V&H pipes....it made windows rattle & car alarms go off while cruising gently by. Did I get stopped for that?......not at all....only for speeding/small (partially hidden) plate - they certainly will not notice the pipes on a T'Bird!

Hi Birdy, they aren't legal in Germany or any part of Europe, if the Sheriffs stop you here in Germany they take the bike of the road straightaway and you have to walk home.

One word of warning when in Wales be careful if you are in North Wales . Do not under any circumstances speed because they will use that as an excuse to pull you over and give you a ticket. They have been told to take it easier on motorcyclists but as I understand they havnt taken any notice.
