Getting hard to read the LCD window in my speedometer during daylight...

Too many trips across the Mojave, or do these LCDs darken over time? Has to be sunlight causing needles to fade and LCD to turn brown, even tho bike is garaged and never sits out unless on a ride. Much easier to read when backlit at night.
Anybody else have this going on? Don't suppose there's any fix or replacement....

I haven't experienced that as yet Michael and I do live in a sunny environment, not aware of any remedy.

My needles are faded and the display is diminished but not discolored. Same conditions, not left outside unless on a ride.

Well, lucky me. Thanks Lee, Kevin, at least I know it isn't a matter of age. Could only be sunlight baking readout to a crispy brown. It's been a gradual thing, no idea when it started, but it's not getting better. 129F in Needles once - had too find concrete to park on - and blistering rides thru Death Valley probably started it. As problems go, not horrible.
Wonder how those big displays fare....

Might have to replace the lens with Lo E glass

the fading (and glare) makes me think that relocationg the speedo off of the tank was a good idea. It was a lot of work though.
