Took her off the road back in December, was only planning to be a couple of months, but life got in the way and I've only just got her finished this week, pretty pleased with how she turned out though.

That's a beauty, no nonsense, a cruiser's cruiser. Goes fast just looking at it. Nicely done!

Thanks mate, I nearly went for Thunderbird 17, but didn't think it quite worked so kept it simple.
Glad somebody got it

Thanks Motormac, that means a lot coming from one of the "elders" on here, you must have seen them all over the years
Just debating if she needs a supercharger now

It's truly a thing of beauty, no doubt. Go the supercharger route if you want to, a couple of the guys here have done it, but put some miles on her first and you might decide you don't need it.
I'll never understand why Triumph dropped the T-Bird....

Wouldnt say I need it, but that doesn't stop my inner child hankering after it, for the sound if nothing else.
I rode her in fairly stock form all last year and knew pretty quickly she was a keeper, hence the winter teardown, can't see me ever selling this one, I've 3 other bikes that serve for long trips and slightly more "spirited" riding, this ones all about the look and the sound for me.

With you on Triumph dropping the T-Bird, for me it's the best cruiser/muscle bike out there, I tried most before buying mine and only the VTX1800 came close, but it was just a bit Japanese. Guess Triumph decided the Rocket was enough muscle in their lineup, but that's nowhere near as nice to ride.
Ah well, we got one any way, best look after them

I don't like chrome, but your Tbird is very nice and style! Good work!

Uh-oh....
Heck, if it was up to me, streets would be paved with chrome ;-)

Neverhadacruiser, your bike is a work of art and one of the nicest T-Birds I've seen anywhere. All business.
Watch out for cagers with cell phones and virtual reality goggles - they're out there. And never trust turn signals.

You are too kind my friend..........but I'll take it.

You're not wrong on the Mr Magoo cagers, just ride like everyone wants to kill you, and make plenty of noise
