Post title :
Found a Fault on ABS Rear Sensor
Spotted a fault on the ABS sensor wire to the rear brake (not the earlier recall but might be related). It is too short and has been rubbing on the frame. As a result the cable has worn down to the bare wire...caught it before it became a bigger problem.
Took it to the dealers and he immediately ordered a replacement and we're booked in this week. He checked his stock of 'Birds (they were all longer and no problems) and on the system and it appears the early ABS sensor wires too the rear wheel are shorter and prone to this problem. Had mine a year with 14,000 miles so has taken this time/miles to wear through.
So, if you have ABS (especially early 'Bird) it is worth checking.
