I really like the sound from the short tors (love the little pops and cracks on deceleration) my question is does anybody have both fitted and if so does it make the bike obnoxiously loud? I like a loud set of pipes but don't want to be giving the cops a reason to pull me over either! Look forward to hearing you guys replys

The gutted cat is a bit louder then the stock cat but not much. Maybe 10% louder. Decat pipes are IMO a HELL of a lot louder. I ran them for a time but eventually couldn't take it. There was a bit better power with them but just not worth it. People were turning around to look for as far away as i could see them. I wear ear plugs and it was too loud ! Some people like that, why i have no idea unless it's a "look at me" thing. But if like me u don't like crazy loud stick with the cat.

You have the proper tune for short tors, yes? (BTW, later models have locked control modules.)

The decibel level is very similar to stock until you get on it! There's the benefits of a throaty sound and a few more ponies. As for lifting the bike, it depends on your comfort level...I use jacks to lift the frame. Anyway I'll post a few pics of my setup in the near future. Cheers and Welcome!

I tried running with just the 45 degree elbows and it was just way too loud. Hopefully the Meerkat crossover will bring me to that happy medium.
