Given that they came out wit the Street Twin monicker earlier ... would that have purposely implied and preceded the reintroduction of the iconic Speed Twin from the '40s?

Humm....this begs the question, what would the difference be between that and the thruxton R ? far as i can see its pretty much the same bike as the R....

Yep, a budget cafe racer to sit alongside the Street Twin makes perfect sense as the new Thruxton is quite pricey. It would appeal to those who want to replace their older Thruxtons but don't want to spend almost superbike money.
